Already for the 12-th time at the Mariinsky Theater the festival of the opera and ballet «Pancake week» is called to revive tradition starts to celebrate this ancient holiday by bright representations and theatrical performances. On Pancake Week the Maryinsky Theater prepares for the guests the whole series of daily performances on two scenes at once. All of them are united by the general idea – by spirit of a holiday, the fairy tale, miracles, hopes and courageous dreams which fill us at the end of the winter frosty days and in anticipation of spring.
